Aprilia Motorcycles Pays Tribute to the Space Shuttle Program via Video

I’m sure that many of you out there were not aware that Friday July 8th was the final launch of the Space Shuttle Atlantis.  To honor this event American Motorcycle manufacture Aprilia has created a tribute video that loosely suggests that the their RSV4 sport bike model is as ground breaking today as the Space Shuttle was when it was debuted to the world.

It is a loosely woven premise and to be honest it really doesn’t matter as the real winner here is the video editors who have done a masterful job of interlacing facts and images of the Space Shuttle Atlantis as it is prepped for launch one final time.  I can still remember growing up and being in school watching the space shuttle blast off 4-5 times a year.  I never thought that we would be without the shuttle program but then I also never thought that they would one day ground the concord and it has been 8 years since one of those flew.

So now that I am without 2 of my childhood flying legends I need a new engineering hero.  Maybe Aprilia can help me as from watching the video they seem to have the most technologically advanced Motorcycles out there.  To learn more watch the link below.
