2012 Hyundai Accent launch that should have happened in New York

Who said that the art of a well crafted, eye catching, big budget car launch was dead?  Well whoever it was forgot to tell Hyundai as you can see from the attached video of the 3D projection mapping technique used to launch the 2012 Hyundai Accent.  I have seen this technique preformed successfully once before; it was at the Louver for an Adidas launch of their newest campaign.  It however did not incorporate a stationary item like a car hanging on a wall, just some fringe parkour athletes who choose to stay connected to the ground.

I have watch this video a dozen times already and I’m sure I’ll watch it a dozen more by the time this long weekend is done.  The one question that I can’t seem to answer is why not save such an amazing live experience for one of the premier auto shows.  A presentation the likes of Hyundai’s 3D Projection Mapping would certainly steal the show and make Hyundai the toast of the town.
