I am pretty sure I could type just about anything in this blog today and it will never be read. As I know all I want to do is look at the stunning images Mercedes Benz has released to the media of its new Concept A, a week before the cars official debut at the New York Auto Show.
I’m convinced that it would be a futile effort for me to highlight the new A Class, rumored not to come to North America. Which is strange because with rising fuel prices you would think this would be the perfect time to launch such a car into this market? I can’t think of a good reason as to why Mercedes would not want this car to compete against the likes of the: Audi A3, BMW 1-series, Mini Cooper, and Volvo C30. A business plan that seems bizarre to me however the current B Class is only sold north of the 49th parallel, and Mercedes has no plans of changing that policy either.
So if the car is not coming to NA then should I even waste my time telling you that the concept is currently hosting a 2-liter four-cylinder engine that is both direct injected and turbocharged Mercedes says is rated for 210 hp. This horsepower will flow to the front wheels through a newly designed dual-clutch transmissions however the number of gears has not been confirm yet for the baby Benz.
Now the important stuff the images of the Concept A. As you scroll down to see the car sparkling from every angle don’t hate me for teasing you just open up a draft email and write to Mercedes asking, no begging them, to bring this car to our shores. I don’t think they will be disappointed with the resulting sales figures.
